Once again, great long hill coming out of town, but it brings us up to a flat road above the valley with great views the whole time.

The hotel was filled with interesting and whimsical sculptures of various sorts.
The little light green things in the field are olive trees. Few grapes here, lots of olives.

Village square in Tourtour. One of the difficulties of a bicycle trip, is that the number of village squares that one would like to sit in to eat lunch or dinner far exceeds the number of lunches and dinners one has.
I know I look furtive. I'm not really trying to sneak out with a patisserie - just close the door quietly but firmly.

A really windy day! This is at the intersection of the D955 and the D19. We're about to take the D19 down to Fayence.
Looking forward to a long, mostly downhill ride to Fayence. Very windy, but at this point the wind is going to be at our backs.

Fayence: our goal for the day. We never actually saw it. No hotels in town, so we stayed at a hotel in the ountry, and then didn't feel like facing the hill and the dust for dinner.
